Our trips this week are to Dinorwig Power Station and Trefriw Woollen Mill. Our sports day also takes place this week and there will be a baking activity and a competition / quiz on the week's activities.

Week 3: 6-10 August

‘Young Designers’

We will be making many different clay models and designing patterns on different items of pottery. A trip to Glaze Away in Colwyn Bay will make this a very creative week!

Week 4: 13-17 August

‘Time for Adventure’

We’ll be getting plenty of fresh air this week with a walk to Conwy Beach and a trip to Greenwood Forest Park. We will also be making a collage with some shells and other items we will collect during the week and be making / designing many fun objects, such as our own flying saucers.

Week 5: 20-24 August

‘Snowdonia’s Attractions’

This week will be spent finishing all the craft work we’ve been doing. We will also be going to Parc Glynllifon country park to explore the gardens and to Betws-y-Coed for a ride on the helicopter simulator and will be having lunch on the ‘train café’ there.

Week 6: 27 – 31 August

‘History and Castles of Snowdonia’

Penrhyn Castle is one of the attractions to be experienced this week. The children will be able to explore the historic castle and gardens, doll museum, Victorian kitchens and the railway museum. A visit to 14th century Aberconwy House is our final visit of the play scheme. The end of the summer holidays will be celebrated with a party and bouncy castle.

The children will all complete feedback / evaluation questionnaires after all the activities.
