Staff Update
The proprietor and cook have recently attended a Nutrition Course arranged by Conwy County Council. As a result, the nursery menus have changed slightly and are carefully planned to give children a balanced diet and encourage healthy eating. The recommended daily nutritional requirements for the children are highlighted on the menus for parents to view. The nursery is soon to compile a useful information booklet on Good Nutrition / Balanced Diet and Good Practice for parents.
Nursery Update
The proprietor has compiled a new Development Portfolio for 0-2 year children, based on the Government’s ‘Birth to Three Matters’ project. The new portfolios identify four aspects, which celebrate the skills and competence of babies and young children during various activities and experiences at the nursery. They are intended to highlight ways of responding appropriately to the developmental needs of the children observed.
